Rueng ("we," "us," or "our") built the Rueng Russian-English Dictionary app as a Commercial application. This SERVICE is provided by us and is intended for use as is. This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

Absolute Privacy Guarantee: We respect your digital sovereignty. There are no hidden background data trackers, no telemetry logs, and no forced cloud sign-ups. Your search histories and preferences stay exactly where they belong: encrypted safely on your personal physical device hardware.

1. 100% Offline-First Philosophy

We do not require you to provide any personally identifiable information to use the app. The app is powered by a local, indexed relational engine that runs entirely on your device. Specifically:

• No Search Tracking: The Russian words you look up, the grammar forms you translate, and your custom study tracks are processed and stored strictly on your local device. We do not transmit this data to our servers.
• No Account Creation: You are not required to create an account, provide an email address, or link social media profiles to use the app.
• No Telemetry or Pixels: This application does not contain analytics pixels, third-party advertising tracking scripts, or marketing SDKs.

2. Log Data and Crash Reports

Whenever you use our Service, in the rare case of an error or app crash, data and information (through third-party products provided natively by iOS or Android operating systems) may be collected on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the time and date of the crash, and other generic statistics.

This data is completely anonymized and is used strictly for technical troubleshooting by our developers to improve the stability of the application. You can easily opt-out of this OS-level data collection via your iPhone or Android system settings.

3. Data Security & Local Sandbox Integrity

Because Rueng is an offline application that ditches slow cloud translation protocols, the security of your study data is maintained entirely by the native security sandbox of your device (e.g., iOS or Android file system encryption). We recommend keeping a screen lock on your device to protect your personal data.

4. Open Source Data Acknowledgment

The core linguistic assets (the 58,000+ words, 150,000+ grammatical forms, and 50,000+ contextual sentences) utilized locally within this application are curated cleanly from the OpenRussian.org open-source repository frameworks. Your interactions with this dataset within the app are strictly local and are not transmitted back to OpenRussian.org or any other third party.

5. Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Because our app operates fully offline and does not require account creation, we do not gather age demographics. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions to delete it.
